Some things to bear in mind …
Making a claim
•
Report the injury. It’s a simple rule. But if you don’t report
an injury within 30 days, you may forfeit your cover.
•
Lodge your WorkCover claim, with a medical certificate, with your employer.
•
If your claim is accepted, you should immediately get weekly payments for
the period covered by the medical certificate.
•
If you are claiming for a lump sum payment, your first call should be to
Ryan Carlisle Thomas.
Types of compensation
Workplace injuries can result in either weekly and medical payments, or
in the case of negligence, in lump sum payments in case of serious injury.
Lump sums are intended to compensate you for impairment, loss of income and pain and suffering.
