Carol is a consultant to the firm. She has particular expertise in discrimination law and has also practised extensively in industrial law and employment law.

Carol has been widely published in her areas of practice and has presented papers at seminars both in Australia and overseas. She wrote the chapter on Freedom from Discrimination and Harassment in the Australian Charter of Employment Rights. Carol is also a Senior Fellow of the Law School at the University of Melbourne, where she is a visiting lecturer and a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law. She sits on the Industrial Committee of the Law Council of Australia, is a member of the Women’s Sub-Committee of the Federation of Ethnic Community Councils and an Australian Executive Member of the International Centre for Trade Union Rights. She received the Australian Federation of AIDS Organisation’s President’s Award for services to the community AIDS effort in Australia, for advocacy in the Special Family Leave Test Case.

Carol has also worked with the International Labour Organisation in Vietnam, to assist with aspects of the introduction of that country’s Labour Code.
